Allback Linseed Oil Wax — Oak

Price range: $48.00 through $131.00

Allback Linseed Oil Wax is made from boiled coldpressed Swedish linseed-oil and beeswax. Use as a surface protector on unpainted, varnished or painted wooden surfaces. It is easy to apply with a sponge or cloth. The surface should be clean and dry.

Use a foam rubber sponge or strong coarse cloth. Wipe off any excess after 20 minutes. Wait 2 hours then Polish the surface with a cloth.

Warning: Thoroughly wash all rags you use to apply the oils, putty or wax to ensure they don’t self-ignite as they dry.

Description

Allback Linseed Oil Wax in Oak. Swedish colour name: Linoljevax Ek.

Sydney Paint Warehouse supply an extensive range of products using Linseed Oil.

Made from purified linseed oil and beeswax, Allback Linseed Oil Wax is an extremely versatile finish that can be used to condition and protect a wide variety of surfaces such as wood, concrete, brick, slate, furniture, metal, PVC, leather, and more. It is food safe, making it great for finishing countertops. It leaves a silky, matte, water-repellent finish, which can be cleaned with a weak solution of Linseed Oil Soap and water.

Allback Linseed Oil Wax can be applied with a rag or a stiff brush depending on the project. Leave for approximately 15 minutes to allow the oil to soak in. Use a clean rag to wipe away excess. In most cases, a single application of Linseed Oil Wax is sufficient. See the Linseed Oil Wax section of the Allbäck product catalogue (pages 20–21) for more detail. For furniture, apply Linseed Oil Wax on its own to wood, or apply over Allback Linus Interior Paint.

The linseed oil, beeswax, and pigments are all boiled together so that the beeswax incorporates as the oil dries. Dry time is approximately 24 hours under ideal conditions, but can be longer depending on environmental conditions, the thickness of the wax layer, and in other special cases such as on knots in wood with a high resin content. Be sure to wipe off excess. Once applied, the wax will take about 1 week to become completely hardened, so it is important to use the surface gently within the first week after application.

Use on:
Floors, counters, furniture, wood, masonry surfaces, PVC, and more.

Coverage:
40 sq metres (approx. 400 sqft) per litre, depending on surface finish and porosity.
