SOY·Gel™ is 100% biodegradable, practically odourless, and is safe for your hands, your work, and your customers.
Coverage:
Coverage per m2 (square foot) varies depending on the type and age of coatings, number of layers and method of application.
Horizontal: Average coverage is 3.0 m2 per litre (125 sq. ft. per gallon) (up to 4.8 m2 per litre (200 sq. ft. per gallon))
Vertical: Average coverage is 1.8 m2 per litre (75 sq. ft. per gallon).
Application:
Due to variances in surfaces and conditions, test in a small, inconspicuous area before using on complete project.
Apply a thick layer of SOY·Gel™ by pouring, brushing, squeegee, or commercial airless sprayer.
Applying too thin will cause SOY·Gel™ to dry out before removal is complete.
Use a scraper (link) to check if the coating is softened down to the surface.
If not, wait longer and recheck. When the coating is completely softened, remove with a scraper.
Clean Up:
Use Degreaser or water and a scrub brush, mop, or power washer to clean remaining thin residue.
Remove excess coating(s) and before using a power washer for final cleaning.
Allow surface to dry before further preparations.
Usage Tips from the Pros:
For large application areas, use a professional airless sprayer or a 4 stage HVLP sprayer.
For tough coatings or numerous layers, use a notched 1/2" squeegee or 1/4" gauge rake. Square metre rate will be greatly reduced.
When used outdoors, cover with a thin polythene (3m Hand-Masker, clingfilm, plastic bag, bin liner, glad wrap etc.) to help keepSOY·Gel™ wet and working.
Precautions:
Concrete surfaces may darken with use of 600GL. Protect plants and vegetation with a plastic drop cloth. Always use care to prevent overspray from getting on surfaces other than the one being prepped or cleaned.
